Complaint SOP delayed after subcommittee receives unexpected draft

Miss Barnett, speaking for the complaint subcommittee, reported that the subcommittee had no recommendation at this time because the edited SOP document requested by Tuesday arrived on Saturday and did not reflect the subcommittee's requested consultant edits. "We did not receive any updated document until Saturday, and it the document was not did not reflect the changes that we requested," Barnett said.
Barnett said she will produce a draft from the July 1 draft and her notes so the subcommittee and Derek can vet it; the chair expressed frustration that the process began in March and that a substantially different document so close to a hearing left the board unable to pass the SOP in July. The chair said the goal is to have a version ready for approval in August and highlighted the need to set the incoming executive director up for success with an approved policy.
