The Nashville Board of Contract and Compliance announced a public posting for the executive director position that will staff and support the board. The chair said the posting is live and open through August 5 and noted the posting was intended to run for two weeks with the option to extend depending on applicant numbers. "This board is, certainly excited for some leadership and to continue and improve our work," the chair said.
Board members discussed transparency in the hiring process. Michael Adavia asked that the board be allowed to see resumes of candidates the hiring team intends to interview and to provide suggested questions in advance. The chair said she would work with Metro staff to determine whether sharing candidate resumes before interviews is possible and that she and former chair Fabian would participate in candidate interviews.
