The Grant County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved eight road crossing permits for Pioneer Communications (WO26-26080-1 through WO26-26080-8) during its May 5 meeting. Commissioner McGaughey moved the permit approval and Commissioner Figgins seconded; the motion carried without opposition.
The board also approved wage increases for Road & Bridge employees and for Senior Center staff after separate motions. Commissioner John Martin moved the Road & Bridge increase and Commissioner McGaughey seconded; the Senior Center increase was moved by Commissioner McGaughey and seconded by Commissioner Figgins. Payroll for the county totaling $169,064.64 (dated April 30, 2026) and vouchers totaling $301,736.48 (vouchers ending 178149) were approved the same day. The meeting minutes for April 21, 2026, were also approved.
