The Elk County Board of Commissioners approved 2024 budget amendments following a 1:00 p.m. budget amendment hearing. Chairman Jake Liebau called the hearing to order and, after a short presentation of changes to County General, Ambulance and Employee Benefits, Commissioner Doug Hendricks moved and Commissioner Perry Russell seconded approval of the amendments; the motion carried 3-0.
During regular business the board approved several related transfers to equipment reserve funds. Commissioners approved transferring $20,000 from the Appraiser’s 2024 budget to the Appraiser Equipment Reserve Fund after Deputy Appraiser Chris Miller presented a new NRP application. The board also approved District Court’s request to transfer $20,000 from its 2024 budget into its Equipment Reserve Fund. For Road & Bridge, the board approved a $35,000 transfer into the Road Equipment Reserve Fund and an $8,000 transfer from the Noxious Weed budget into the same reserve. All motions were recorded as passing 3-0.
