Sheila Brown, Ed Neidert and Luke Grimes, members of the Airport Board, asked the Grant County commissioners to provide guidance on a long‑standing contract for the airport manager, who has served about 18–20 years. The Airport Board said it prefers to conduct a formal performance and contract review and to present findings and recommendations to the commissioners for final consideration.
During the meeting commissioners recessed into two executive sessions: a 10‑minute session to discuss acquisition of real property with the Airport Board members and a separate 45‑minute session with OneAmerica and Gallagher consultants (Ed Gaffney, Kendra Kaiser, Jeff Schober) to discuss confidential financial data related to the Bob Wilson Memorial–Grant County Hospital retirement plan. Both executive sessions concluded with the board returning to open session and taking no action, as recorded in the minutes.
