Treasurer reports more than $350,000 in first-quarter interest; court extends capital murder prosecution grant resolution

Wise County Treasurer Katherine Hudson presented the county's quarterly investment report for January through March and told the court the county collected more than $350,000 in interest for the first quarter (January 1–March 1).
Judge J.D. Clark commended Hudson and her team for maximizing the county's investments. Clark also requested that the Court approve continuation of the resolution for the Capital Murder Prosecution grant (originally April 2024) so the District Attorney's Office can continue submitting reimbursement claims. Assistant Auditor Pat Trail presented various budget amendments and claims and payroll items that were included in the consent agenda.
The Court voted to approve the consent agenda items, including the continuation resolution, by motion; the minutes record the approvals as adopted unanimously.
