The Wise County Commissioners' Court approved two plats at its May 11, 2026 meeting, moving to finalize Ranch Hills Estates Phase II after completion of a two-year maintenance period and to accept a replat of Hilltop Ranch that includes a variance to a groundwater-availability study.
Commissioner John “Biff” Hayes moved to approve both plats; Commissioner Kevin Burns seconded and the Court adopted the motion unanimously. The Hilltop Ranch replat covers Lots 1R1 and 1R2 and the Court granted a variance to the groundwater availability requirement to reflect the presence of two existing wells on the property.
The approvals were taken during the plats portion of the agenda and were recorded as final acceptance for Ranch Hills Estates Phase II and approval of the Hilltop Ranch replat with the noted variance. No public objections or amendments to the plats were recorded in the meeting minutes.
