Emergency Management Services Chief Randall Preuninger told the Court he was requesting $325,000 from capital funds to order another ambulance (a remount) to add to the county's EMS fleet.
The Court voted to approve the capital request. The packet notes an Alvord unit ordered in January 2025 had an estimated delivery in May of the current year; Preuninger asked the Court to authorize the order so the county could proceed with procurement timelines.
County officials said the purchase would improve EMS capacity across precincts; funding will come from the county capital budget as approved by the Court.
