Cherokee County commissioners approve routine business, support letters and department updates

The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners convened Oct. 27 in Columbus and approved routine business, including the minutes from the Oct. 20 meeting, payroll, and payables. Commissioner Cory Moates moved to approve the minutes; Commissioner Jack Garner seconded, and the motions were recorded as passing unanimously.
The board also agreed to provide letters of support for SEKCAP Transportation and for a Broadband Acceleration Grant tied to the BAGS program. Department heads gave brief updates on current office activities.
