Several commissioners, noting multiple resident claims and the difficulties residents faced getting reimbursement through routine claims channels, urged the city to transmit a drafted resolution to the Florida Public Service Commission to aggregate complaints and ask for regulator review. The city manager said a resolution has been drafted and remains ready to be mailed; commissioners directed staff to send the resolution unless FPL demonstrates an effective, timely, aggregate remedy. "If there is no change, the best solution for the city is to address that with the Public Service Commission," Commissioner Katzmann said.
