The committee authorized the chairman to sign a grant application and acceptance award with the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (NYS OASAS) for 2025 Opioid Settlement Fund Regional Abatement funding, a minimum award of $73,386 for prevention, treatment, harm reduction and recovery services (effective April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026). Supervisor Smith moved the grant action and the motion carried (Ayes: 6; Absent: Prior).
Separately, the committee approved a 2025 appropriation moving $6,780.97 from restricted Opioid Settlement Funds to cover medications for opioid use disorder for incarcerated individuals at the Wyoming County Jail. Supervisor Klein made the motion (Ayes: 5; Absent: Rudgers, Prior); the appropriation was referred to Finance for processing.
