The Ward County Commissioners Court declared an emergency in multiple county funds and unanimously approved budget amendments during its Feb. 10 meeting. Commissioner Larry Hanna moved the amendments and Commissioner Eddie Nelms seconded the motion, which the Court adopted without objection.
The minutes record amendments across the General Fund, Road and Bridge Fund, Farm-to-Market Road Fund, County Attorney and D.A. forfeiture and seizure funds, County Clerk RM&P fund, hospital and employee medical benefits funds, and a Building Construction/Renovation Fund. The record shows a large increase to Building Construction/Renovation Fund expense (documented as 94,062,436.73 in the minutes) and other line items; the court placed the amendment language on the record.
