Wise County updates hazard-mitigation reimbursements; larger safe-room request under review

Coordinator Cody Powell updated the Commissioners' Court on hazard-mitigation grant projects and reimbursements on April 27. He said the Cyber project's Final Submittal Report (FSR) was approved by the Office of the Governor and that payment cleared, allowing closeout of that project.
Powell detailed Request for Reimbursement (RFR) activity for safe rooms: RFR #1 (8 safe rooms) is complete and awaiting funding; RFR #2 (7 safe rooms) is nearing completion of the review process; and RFR #3 is for 25 or 26 safe rooms and is significantly larger than prior requests and under review. Powell attributed payment speed to collaboration with the Auditor's and Treasurer's offices.
