Clark County adopts 2025 salary schedule with across-the-board increases

The Clark County Board of Commissioners adopted a new 2025 salary schedule during their Dec. 30 meeting, voting unanimously to replace previous wage scales.
Commissioner Wallace Knock moved for adoption of the resolution, seconded by Commissioner Terry Schlagel; all five commissioners voted aye. The schedule sets a 3% increase for Grade I, Grade II, Grade III and highway employees, and a 2% increase for all other positions, effective Jan. 3, 2025. The minutes state the increases will be reflected in the Jan. 20, 2025 payroll.
The published schedule in the minutes lists monthly salaries and hourly rates for named positions, including Register of Deeds Andrea Helkenn ($4,405.75/mo), Treasurer Carrie Reis ($4,311.25/mo), and Auditor Christine Tarbox ($4,629.84/mo). Ambulance pay scales and overtime/holiday provisions are also specified (for example, holiday pay for full-time ambulance employees is double pay). The minutes are attested by Auditor Christine Tarbox and signed by Chairman Chris Sass on Dec. 30, 2024.
The action was recorded as Resolution 27-24 (also referenced as 27-25 in the minutes). The board directed that the new schedule nullify prior wage scales when it takes effect.
