County reports $1.055M in recent NRP investments, estimates $316k local economic impact

Economic Development Director Stephanie Imthurn reported Neighborhood Revitalization Program activity at the Jan. 26 commission meeting.
Imthurn said two new commercial properties enrolled in the NRP with a combined investment of $575,000 and eight reported jobs tied to those projects. She also said four new residential properties had combined improvement costs of $480,000. Using an estimated indirect economic impact rate of 20%–40% and a 30% midpoint, Imthurn estimated the local economic impact of these rehab projects at roughly $316,500.
The commission received these figures during the Land Bank annual meeting presentation; Imthurn said some property owners reported the NRP influenced their decision to invest in the projects.
