At the Wabaunsee County Commission meeting on Jan. 26, Economic Development Director Stephanie Imthurn presented the Wabaunsee County Land Bank annual report.
Imthurn said the Land Bank received one house through the 2024 Delinquent Tax Sale and sold that property in 2024; there was no activity in 2025. The year-end balance for the Land Bank was reported as $41,567.38. Commissioners moved to adopt the annual report as presented, and the motion carried 3-0. They also approved retaining the same officers for the Land Bank: Nancy Hier as chair, Boyd Davis as vice-chair and Jim W. MacGregor as treasurer.
The Land Bank presentation included Neighborhood Revitalization Program figures (see related article). The Land Bank will continue to track delinquent-tax-acquired properties and report activity to the commission.
