Morton County staff told commissioners Feb. 23 that the county has submitted a grant application to fund bridge work on County Road 23 and estimated the county’s portion at $148,000. Sheldon, speaking to the board after a brief personnel executive session, said the county will delay some road projects until the grant decision is known.
The county took no formal action beyond the report. Commissioners were informed the grant submission had been made and that project scheduling would be adjusted depending on the outcome; the County will await notice on whether the grant is approved before committing county funds.
