Clerk and Youth Services seek reimbursements and grants; RAISE application still pending

Several grant- and reimbursement-related items were recorded on March 9: District Court Clerk Amy Entrikin applied to OJA for reimbursement of a new small‑courtroom sound system; Youth Services Director Brooke Smith submitted an FY 2027 grant application that Chairman Mark Pruett signed; and Commissioner Keith Kelly reported no update on a RAISE grant application related to asphalt for chip-seal work.
Entrikin said OJA grant funding became available after signing the agreement for the new sound system and she proceeded to apply for reimbursement. Brooke Smith presented the Youth Services FY 2027 grant application and the chairman signed the paperwork during the meeting. Commissioner Kelly said Brett Waggoner is checking the status of the county’s RAISE grant weekly and had no new information to report.
The board took no formal vote related to these grant submissions during the meeting beyond the chairman’s signature on the Youth Services application and the clerk filing the OJA reimbursement request.
