After a series of executive sessions for employee reviews and non-elected personnel matters, the Elk County Board of Commissioners approved merit pay increases for several county employees on Feb. 24.
Commissioner Perry Russell moved and Commissioner Jake Liebau seconded actions granting Malarie Chamberlain a merit increase from $15.89/hour to $16.39/hour; Chloe Hebb from $15.39/hour to $16.39/hour; and Christina Miller from $18.57/hour to $19.57/hour. Each action carried 3-0. Separately, the board tabled the proposed adjustable hiring tool/wage scale until the next meeting by a 3-0 vote.
