The board reviewed and edited a draft transfer-station monitor job description that updates duties (barrel setup, winter safety tasks, punch-card handling and record-keeping) and clarifies hours and patron eligibility. After minor renumbering and phrasing edits the board moved and approved the corrected job description and asked Laurie to post it and start the hiring process with responses due April 3.
Separately, the chair said the Solid Waste Implementation Plan (SWIP) draft will be available on the Alliance website after March 26 and reminded members that the plan must be approved by the Alliance board and then by each of the 13 towns by the June 30 state deadline. The board discussed whether Alliance representatives should attend a select board meeting to explain the plan; members agreed they could send representatives in May or June if desired.
