A staff member explained the MOA covers the scope of work matching the grant award and that state funds are intended to be used to procure the inventory work. "The state wants it done, so they give me money to have somebody to do it," one Committee member said, noting it is a standard grant arrangement. Members confirmed the award and expressed support for signing the agreement so that work can move forward.
The board also reviewed reimbursement paperwork for work on Jepson Road and discussed the accounting of fringe benefits and equipment costs for grant reimbursement; one example cited was a $5,600 reimbursement submission for past work. Staff were directed to finalize the MOA signature and coordinate with the regional commission to schedule work under the grant.
