Commission approves PO for mixing ~10,000 tons of asphalt with APAC

McKay framed the work as part of the county’s 12‑mile‑per‑year paving plan intended to overlay and seal rural roads.
A commissioner moved to approve the purchase order for mixing services and the board approved the motion by voice vote. McKay explained that some routes are reconstructed and will receive a light asphalt lift as part of the program. The action authorizes routine road‑maintenance contracting as described and did not include additional project authorizations beyond the mixing PO.
