Superintendent says bond outlook is uncertain; restroom remodel, fence work and winter events reported

Superintendent Dr. Ryan Phelan briefed the board on facilities and the district’s bond outlook at the Nov. 18 meeting. Phelan said consultants estimate a 50/50 chance the proposed bond will pass and that a final outcome is expected in the first part of December.
Phelan reported the 10-wing restroom remodel is scheduled to be completed the first or second week of December and added that the soccer field fence is expected to be finished within the next week or two, saying in the minutes “Looks great!” He also noted a staff Christmas breakfast scheduled for Dec. 16 at 8:00 a.m. and relayed a message from Selma High School Principal Nathan Lane thanking Kingsburg administration for hospitality at a recent football game.
