Superintendent says restroom project, site repairs on track; bond outreach ongoing

Superintendent Dr. Ryan Phelan told the board on Oct. 14 that the district’s 10 Wing restroom renovation is scheduled to complete at the end of November and that flatwork punch-list work on the Kingsburg High campus is finished. Phelan said dead plants and trees will be replaced in early November after staff corrected a valve that had been inadvertently capped during nearby construction.
On district finances and outreach, Phelan reported two bond mailers had been sent to the voting community with a third planned within two weeks of the election and said additional signage is in place across town. He described the outreach as making “good progress” and stated the district remains confident the bond measure will pass. The minutes record his attendance at VROP and Fresno County superintendent meetings and observation of student exhibits at the Fresno County Fair.
