At the Dec. 13 board meeting student representative Jasleen Gill and Principal Heather Wilson gave updates on student activities. Gill said Winter Week dress-up days were well received and confirmed the Winter Formal theme as The Great Gatsby, scheduled for December 18. Wilson highlighted recent concerts (band on Dec. 9 and choir on Dec. 16), the Viking of the Month awards on Dec. 18, and perfect attendance incentives that include an Amazon gift card and early-depart passes.
Athletic Director Scott Hodges reported academic standings for fall sports: Girls Tennis placed 4th in the CIF Central Section with a 3.78 GPA; Girls Cross Country placed 5th with a 3.74 GPA; Girls Water Polo placed 3rd with a 3.62 GPA; Boys Water Polo placed 5th with a 3.56 GPA; and Girls Volleyball placed 8th with a 3.70 GPA. The board acknowledged these recognitions during the principal's report.
