Board accepts resignation, approves classroom aide hire and several volunteers

At its Oct. 14 meeting the Kingsburg Joint Union High School District Board accepted the resignation of classroom aide Sarah Simmons, effective Sept. 30, 2024, and approved multiple personnel actions reported out of closed session. Trustee Rick Jackson moved to accept the resignation (M091-2425); Trustee Brent Lunde seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
After closed session the board also approved Michele Mendoza as a volunteer chaperone for the Kingsburg High School Band (M096-2425); Cynthia Herrera as a classroom aide for 2024–25 (M097-2425); Jaden Garcia as a volunteer assistant frosh/soph JV baseball coach (M098-2425); and Katherine Morisson as a volunteer chaperone for the Music/Choir Department (M099-2425). Each action was approved on a 3-0 recorded vote with Trustees Thomsen and Serpa noted absent in the minutes.
