Kingsburg Joint Union High board swears in trustees, elects officers for 2025

At its Dec. 13 meeting the Kingsburg Joint Union High School District board administered Oaths of Office to two trustees elected unopposed, then approved officer roles for 2025 and committee assignments; most motions passed unanimously.
The Kingsburg Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees administered the Oath of Office to Rick Jackson (Area #4) and Johnie Thomsen (Area #1) and then selected officers for 2025 at its Dec. 13, 2024 regular meeting. Superintendent Ryan Phelan administered the oath for both trustees.
After the oath, trustees moved on to organizational business. The board approved Resolution R09-2425 declaring Jackson and Thomsen elected by law because they ran unopposed; the motion carried 5-0. Trustees then voted to designate Steve Nagle as Board President and Brent Lunde as Clerk of the Board and approved committee assignments for all members; that motion also carried 5-0. The board named Rick Jackson as its voting representative to the Fresno County Committee on School District Organization with Johnie Thomsen as alternate, approved the 2025 meeting calendar, and approved standard consent items in the same block of motions.
The meeting minutes record each motion with the mover, seconder and a 5-0 tally across these organizational items. The minutes also contain the official record of the Oath of Office and the resolution number for the unopposed nominations. The board adjourned following completion of the agenda.
