Weed Supervisor Jenkins opened the county's 2025 weed-control bids on March 18, listing product-specific prices for herbicides, surfactants and crop oils from multiple vendors including Nutrien Solutions and VanDiest Supply.
After reviewing the submitted prices and availability, Commissioner Chris Sass moved and Commissioner Francis Hass seconded a motion "to accept all bids based on price and availability." The motion passed with all commissioners voting aye. The bids include line-item prices for products such as Tordon 22K, 2,4-D Amine, Freelexx, Milestone, Polaris, AquaNeat and others as recorded in the meeting minutes.
The board's action authorizes staff to procure herbicides and related application materials from the accepted bidders consistent with price and stock availability; commissioners did not place additional procurement conditions in the public minutes.
