Clark County accepts annual highway material and service bids, awards based on availability

Highway Superintendent HS Eggleston and Auditor Christine Tarbox opened annual highway supply bids received Jan. 29 and placed them on file. The board accepted Flint Hills Resources— bid for CSS-1H D 50 at $425.00 and accepted Jebro—s bids for MC70, MC800 and MC3000 while rejecting Jebro—s CSS-1H D 50. The board—s motions were recorded with unanimous aye votes by Commissioners Sass, Hass, Gjerde, Schlagel and Chairman Knock.
The board also reviewed hot-mix and cold-mix bids from multiple suppliers and approved acceptance of hot-mix bids based on availability and plant location. Contractor equipment and hourly-rate bids were considered separately; after review the board rejected Lien Transportation—s bid and accepted bids from Clausen & Sons Construction, Johnson Trucking, T&L Transport LLC and Clausen Construction, Inc., contingent on availability. All bid documents were placed on file in the auditor—s office.
