At its regular meeting the Ogilvie Public School District board approved several procurement awards for food and fuel services.
The board awarded the dairy products contract to Prairie Farms after Prairie Farms submitted the lower bid. For bread products the board awarded the contract to Pan O Gold, the only responsive bidder. Discussion noted that some items receive only a single bid because the district uses a vendor‑owned or leased tank for propane or has supplier constraints.
For fuel the board compared prices from Federated Co‑ops and Bodry and approved awarding diesel and gasoline contracts to Federated Co‑ops. Board members discussed whether a Federated dividend rebate would offset slightly higher bid pricing on certain fuel types; staff explained the dividend checks and usage levels and concluded Federated’s overall package best met the district’s needs. All awards were approved unanimously.
