Clark County adopts $10.18 million in supplemental road and ambulance budgets; approves $1.5M transfer

The Clark County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 17 adopted Resolution 25-24 to supplement county budgets for major road projects and ambulance equipment.
At a 9:30 a.m. public hearing that drew no public comment, Chairman Chris Sass opened consideration of supplemental budget requests for Road & Bridge and Ambulance. The board approved a $9,500,000 supplemental entry for expenses related to County Road #17 (Carpenter Road), a $1,370,000 supplemental for County Road #38 (Riverview Dairy road), and a $310,000 supplemental to the Ambulance Fund to cover the cost of a new ambulance for Clark County Station II. Commissioners voted to adopt the resolution on a motion by Wallace Knock, seconded by Francis Hass, with all members voting aye.
Separately, the board approved an operating transfer of $1,500,000 from County General to the Road & Bridge account on a motion by Terry Schlagel, second by Sara Gjerde; that motion carried unanimously. The actions together allocate county general funds and supplemental appropriations to support large road projects and replacement emergency equipment scheduled for 2025.
The supplemental budget resolution is recorded as Resolution 25-24 and is dated Dec. 17, 2024. The county auditor attested to the resolution in the meeting record. The board set the next regular meeting for Dec. 30, 2024.
