The Ogilvie Public School District board unanimously approved a 10‑year long‑term facilities maintenance (LTFM) resolution after a board member read the plan and its statutory basis aloud.
“Therefore, be it resolved that the school board of Ogilvie Independent School District … approves the attached long term long term facilities maintenance plan,” a board member read when presenting the resolution. The resolution cited Minnesota statutes as the legal authority for the program and included an attached revenue spreadsheet and project narratives for any project costing more than $100,000.
Superintendent Kevin Erke said staff and outside consultants provided the cost estimates and narratives; the materials appeared in the board’s digital packet. Board members thanked staff and consultants for refining cost analyses and narratives over recent work sessions. The roll‑call vote to adopt the plan was unanimous.
With the resolution adopted, the district will rely on the attached project list and budget narratives to request long‑term facilities maintenance revenue in future budgets and to prioritize capital work. Staff indicated any project above the $100,000 threshold will use the included narrative, and the board can revisit priorities in future work sessions or regular meetings.
