Larry Kiefer, speaking for museum maintenance, described multiple buildings with siding rot, holes in walls and failing HVAC systems and estimated a possible scope of work in the order of $100,000 to $120,000 to address structural siding, sill and HVAC repairs; he offered to provide printed photos and asked the county to schedule a walkthrough. Museum staff (Kyron) also reported the phone line had been down for about a week and that CenturyLink/Lumen connectivity and alarm-line issues were disrupting operations; he said the museum was getting quotes for cameras and would contact the county’s DIS representative. Commissioners acknowledged the $66,000 was included in the draft budget and asked the museum to provide quotes and photos before mid-August.
