The board also approved a memorandum of agreement that allows Westmoreland Absaloka Mining LLC to perform road maintenance on Sarpe Basin Road to county standards; staff said the mine had signed the agreement and agreed to provide insurance. “This is a memorandum of agreement between the county and Westmoreland Absaloka Mining LLC,” a staff member summarized when presenting the item. The meeting adjourned after additional routine items were handled.
