Adele Taplin presented a committee structure (5–11 volunteer members, staggered 1–3 year terms) and explained that the Trails Committee will work with the Conservation Commission, Recreation Committee and town staff to prioritize projects, fundraising, and volunteer stewardship. "We came up with a solution for a trail committee whose purposes as an advisory and coordinating body to the select board," she said.
On the planning grant, Adele said the town received a Vermont Recreational Trails Program grant and solicited proposals; Sinuosity's $19,100 proposal was recommended because of local knowledge and capacity‑building for volunteers. The board authorized the town manager to execute the agreement and approved volunteer in‑kind match as the town contribution.
