Westford town manager announces resignation; to depart Sept. 30

One board member said the town will discuss succession plans at the next meeting on Aug. 11. "You've been a great asset to this town," a select board member said, thanking Kristen for her work. Several attendees — including committee chairs and town staff — also described her mentorship and the foundation she leaves for future leaders.
Kristen listed accomplishments she said mattered most during her tenure and expressed gratitude to employees, volunteers and residents. The board accepted her announcement with reluctance and unanimous thanks, and members said they will return with details on a recruitment and transition timeline at the board’s next meeting. No successor was named and the board committed to convene a process to ensure uninterrupted town operations.
