Public Works asked the Board to approve replacement of four mowing tractors (current tractors purchased in 2020, averaging 2,706.5 hours). Staff reviewed quotes from three vendors: Case/Farmall 120C PS Cab at $95,000 each (four units in stock); John Deere 6120E Cab at $94,630.33 each (two in stock; two more arriving in July); and Massey Ferguson 5M135 at $87,899 each (July delivery for all four). John Deere was recommended for purchase because the quote included warranty coverage for all four tractors.
The total cost including warranties is $398,521.32 and the purchase was proposed to be funded through TSPLOST. Commissioner Ben Riden moved, with Commissioner Philipp von Hanstein seconding, to place the item on the consent agenda; the motion passed unanimously.
