Board approves S5 homestead for veteran and 42 homestead applications

Chief Appraiser Robert Bailey asked the board to approve an S5 Homestead exemption for parcel 035-026 because the homeowner is considered 100% unemployable by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; Mr. Chris Sides moved to approve and Mr. Bill Malone seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
Bailey also reported that 42 homestead applications had been received by the Tax Assessor's office since Jan. 1 and asked the board to accept and approve those applications; Mr. Chris Sides moved approval and Mr. Kevin Hanville seconded, and the motion was recorded as carried with all in favor.
