The Washington County Board of Commissioners voted to purchase a new Hyundai excavator and to declare the county's 2014 Komatsu excavator surplus. Commissioner Frank Simmons Jr. moved to approve the purchase and Commissioner James Hitchcock Jr. seconded; the motion passed 4-0.
Following the purchase approval, Interim Administrator Chris Hutchings asked the chairman to proceed with making the 2014 Komatsu surplus property so it could be removed; the board unanimously approved a motion to declare the 2014 Komatsu surplus and start disposition procedures.
