Chair said the current space lacked sight lines and adequate security; staff said the building authority would provide cost estimates and explore whether a private restroom and secure circulation could be implemented within a modest budget.
Commissioners expressed preliminary support for pursuing the swap if security and UA-room costs can be kept reasonable. Staff will obtain quotes and draft a plan showing remodel costs, security work, and separate treatment for the adjacent parcel of land the city also expressed interest in retaining for public use.
