Trustee White described the proposal as renovation of an existing approximately 37,800-square-foot building plus construction of an approximately 13,442-square-foot addition to accommodate village municipal operations. White said the appearance, traffic and plan commissions had reviewed the proposal and voted unanimously in favor. The motion to adopt the ordinance carried on a 5–0 roll call vote.
Trustees said the project had been discussed for decades and expressed that the village is now ready to proceed; staff will coordinate next steps for design and construction scheduling.
