Commission trims outside-agency recommendations, reallocates $40,000 to local priorities

The commission reached a working consensus to divide that $40,000 into four $10,000 amounts: $10,000 each to Safe Families, United Way (relief fund), the county senior center and to retain $10,000 for North Central contingent on follow‑up reporting. Commissioners also discussed OCCK’s recommended award of $125,000 (panel recommended down from a $198,000 request) and did not change that recommendation at the session.
Staff will reflect the commission’s consensus in allocation paperwork and will seek clearer outcome metrics and MOUs for outside agencies moving forward.
