City built 14-space public lot on East Central Avenue; committee discusses signage and overnight rules

"We constructed a public parking lot, 14 spaces, handicapped space, and the back, angled spaces..." staff said, noting the work was done internally by street crews in about four days without a contractor.
The police chief and staff recommended posting clear signage that the lot is free city parking and that city parking regulations will be enforced; the committee agreed to prohibit overnight parking beyond signage and to monitor use before imposing additional limits. Committee members discussed future ParkMobile integration if demand increases and whether motorcycle spaces and handicapped signage should be clearly marked.
