The Tinmouth Equity and Inclusion Committee presented its annual activity summary to the select board, describing efforts to encourage participation by residents and to make town processes more accessible. Committee members described collaborations with the library, fire department and recreation committee, fundraising through plant sales and community donations for a pavilion project, and a planned multicultural dinner and storytelling event on March 22.
The committee said it will shift from a larger committee model to a smaller working group (three members) this winter to draft an operator’s manual and recommended outreach strategies to engage both new and long-term residents. Board members asked the committee to clarify outreach to existing town residents as well as newcomers and to keep meeting minutes and materials posted.
