Change order for Frank Staton Boulevard adds $43,297 and 10 days, jurors approve

Assistant Parish Engineer Matt Redmon reported that Change Order No. 1 for Project No. 2025-100 (Frank Staton Boulevard Extension) results in a $43,297.53 increase and an additional 10 days to the total contract time because soft and unsuitable soil required undercut and replacement and additional work under the construction stipulation agreement. Redmon recommended approval so the contractor can be reimbursed and the work included in the contract.
The jury approved the change order on a motion by Jimmy Cochran, seconded by Glenn Benton. A resolution was offered and adopted authorizing the Parish Administrator and/or Parish President to execute all documents associated with the change order; the vote was unanimous.
