Bossier Parish awards $1.59 million contract for parish road overlays

Assistant Parish Engineer Matt Redmon told jurors two bids were received for Project No. 2026-116 and recommended the low bidder, Benton and Brown, LLC, noting the contract covers overlay of Linton Cutoff Road, Parks Road, Koran Doyline Road and Johnson Koran Road across Districts 1, 3 and 8. The low bid was $1,591,400.00; the other bid from Earnest Contracting, LLC was $1,991,000.00. The jury voted to award the contract to Benton and Brown, LLC and authorized execution of documents.
The motion to award was made by Doug Rimmer and seconded by Pam Glorioso; the President called for public comment and, with none, the motion carried with all 12 jurors recorded as voting yes. The jury also adopted a resolution authorizing the Parish Administrator or Parish President to execute documents in connection with the bid.
