The Bossier Parish Police Jury awarded two road contracts during its March 18 meeting. Parish Engineer Eric Hudson recommended awarding Project No. 2026-100 (Forest Grove Lane and Sunnybrook Lane Improvements — Phase 2) to Cross Keys Construction Company, LLC with a low bid of $338,979.00, a figure the engineer said was below the estimate. Jurors approved the award and authorized execution of documents for Police Jury District 2.
Hudson also recommended awarding Project No. 2024-119 (Bobby Byrd Road Paving and Drainage Improvements), including a base bid and an alternate for sidewalks and connection to nearby apartment complexes, to Sams Construction, LLC for $2,205,544.58. "The low bid is within the engineering estimate and sufficient funds are available to pay the total base bid and alternate bid," Hudson said. Jurors voted unanimously to award the contract and authorize execution of project documents for Police Jury District 6.
