The Chair called the Troup County Board of Zoning meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. and the director of community development (S2) announced he has returned to that position "until further notice," saying, "I'm back in the saddle as director of community development." The director also noted an agritourism u-pick application on Youngs Mill Road had been approved by the Board of Commissioners on August 5 and reminded members the next Board of Zoning meeting is scheduled for September 11.
After approving the final agenda and the minutes of the prior meeting by motion and second, the board moved into a public hearing to consider two manufactured housing placement applications. Both applications were presented by planning staff, recommended for approval with standard permit conditions, and the board voted to approve them; the public hearing was then closed and the Chair adjourned the meeting.
