Jason Taylor of 66 Renee Drive told the Board of Selectmen he strongly opposes proposed development projects on Liberty Street attributed in public remarks to Rico and Bridal Realty, and he asked the board to oppose them. "Large technology, industrial, and housing developments of this scale, threatens our community," Taylor said, adding that such projects "force several critical strains on our town" including utilities, emergency services and schools.
The board noted correspondence from Jason Taylor and Elena Ibanez Villafana opposing a proposed shopping-center apartment complex and a technology park off Liberty Street and advised residents that land-use questions are primarily for the Planning & Zoning and Inland Wetlands commissions; the board encouraged attendance at those upcoming hearings where the projects will be considered.
