Select Board: ADA path required; hydrological study will inform zoning review

Accessibility and potential water/drainage impacts were prominent technical concerns raised at the meeting. Melody Squire told the group that the project "is required to have an ADA path, so we will have a path about 3 feet wide that will most likely be Sure Pack" and that the floor material being discussed is also SurePack. Residents pressed whether the surface would be appropriate for wheelchair access and whether water standing in the nearby low area could cause issues.
On drainage, organizers said they had contracted an engineering consultation and would perform a hydrological study focused on the Route 10140 culvert; they said results and any mitigation recommendations would be provided to the zoning board of adjustment and public notice would follow. "We will receive information from them about how to mitigate our site if they feel that there's potential issues," Melody Squire said.
